More about this tool

Overview

SVG Extractor inspects a rendered public page to find inline SVG markup, external .svg files, CSS and mask references, and sprite symbol uses that normal image downloaders miss. Preview every asset safely, copy portable standalone markup, export generated SVGs, or download original files and ZIP bundles with clear original vs generated labeling.

Original files vs generated SVG exports

When a page references a real .svg file, SVG Extractor labels it as an original file and preserves the source download when available. Inline SVGs and resolved sprite symbols are exported as generated SVG files so the interface never pretends they were standalone originals.

Why some SVGs may be missing

Each scan covers one public page, not an entire website. Bot challenges, blocked asset hosts, inaccessible external sprites, and scan limits can reduce results. SVG previews are sanitized for safety, and unsafe markup is never executed in the page.

Frequently asked questions

How to extract SVGs from a website?

Paste a public page URL and click Find SVGs. Magictools loads the rendered page, discovers inline SVGs, SVG files, sprites, and CSS references, then lets you preview, copy markup, or download assets individually or as a ZIP.

What is an inline SVG?

An inline SVG is vector markup written directly inside the page HTML, often used for icons and logos. It may never exist as a standalone .svg file on the server, so SVG Extractor can export a generated SVG while clearly labeling it as generated.

How to copy SVG code from a webpage?

Open any result card, choose Copy SVG, or open View markup to copy portable or original markup. Portable markup attempts to preserve the rendered appearance, including currentColor resolution when possible.

How to download SVG icons from a website?

Select the icons you want and download them individually, export generated inline SVGs, download original .svg files when available, or create a ZIP with separate original and generated folders.

Why some SVGs cannot be downloaded as files?

Inline SVGs and resolved sprite symbols were never standalone files on the website. SVG Extractor exports them as generated SVG files instead of calling them originals.

What are SVG sprites?

Sprites store many icons inside one SVG file as symbols. Pages often reference them with a use element such as /icons.svg#search. SVG Extractor resolves those references into standalone SVG exports when possible.
